Subhas Bose - the debate never dies

Subhas Bose is alive.. very much. The controversies surrounding him refuse to die. the latest addition being the Justice Mukherjee commission report. Perhaps this was the one single report which was kind of impartial and unbiased, without any regard to satisfying the political masters. And so were its findings. A myth which was created around a plane crash that never happened, a forceful denunciation of many facts, concealment of a lot of information from public knowledge- successive Indian Govts have been guilty of all these.. but now perhaps is the time for truth to come out.. better late than never. The Congress Govt as usual is trying its best to dodge, ignore or at its worst attempt so far obfuscate the findings of the report..I hope it never succeeds.. Whats the truth? that Nehru was a sworn enemy of Subhas is well known.. that communists who called him Indian Quisling and Tojo's dog were no better is also well known.. Did Subhas manage to escape to Russia? did he want the help of Stalin and instead got a tenure in Siberia?May be these are still conjectures, but there are some semblance of evidence of his presence in Russsia in 1946 which for some strange reasons Govt of India is not willing to further pursue.. Also the Russian Govt is silent and noncoperating at the behest of probably Indian counterpart. question is what is there to be so afraid of an event that happened some 60 years back.Is it just the fear that a lonstanding lie will be uncovered and truth will emerge? What Indians now want is nothing sort of truth. Nobody has any doubt that Subhas Bose is dead. Question is how and where? What was the role of congress and Nehru? US and British sleuths did not believe that Subhas died in plane crash, not for a moment. The theory is, Netaji Subhas Bose fabricated the plane crash theory with the help of INA top brass and his aide de camp Abid Hussein and also friendly Japan Govt because he wanted to make good his escape from allied forces, as he knew that Brits would not stop short in eliminating him, he being the most dangeraous war criminal after Japan to the British forces. Brits knew fairly well that Netaji has got a hold on India and Indians far greater than any Indian politician, even Gandhi, and that he was a true secular leader who was admired and respected universally by Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. So he only could have orchestrated a much greater uprising in South East Asia than was possible even if Gandhi and Jinnah came together on the same platform. Why did Subhas consider Stalin to be a safe bet? Reason is the same for which he considered alliance with Nazi Germany. His motto was enemy's enemy is my friend and he was willing to befriend even the devil to get rid of British rule and free India. Also e was socialist in his outlook and looked upon Communist Russia as an ideal place. He probably very soon realized his mistake when he landed up in Siberia, but his original gameplan was sound. He being a shrewd strategist, understood that a cold war between Communist Russia and West was inevitable and Britain will surely be against Russia. So it will safer to bet on Russia. Also he realized that Russia will emerge as the next superpower and will balance the world power against mighty Brits and US forces. He had no other choice or option. He was well aware that Nehru would leave no stones unturned to let him in to Brits. He also knew that Jinnah would try his best to thwart him as Subhas Bose was the single most dangerous hindrance in implementing his two nation theory. I amsure even Emilie Schenkle Bose did not believe for a moment that her husband died in a plane crash. Probably they were in touch. But she lived the life of a widow for her husband's sake.
