 The Hindu community in this subcontinent is either extremely apathetic towards its own religion or is extremely selfish to protect its members. For centuries now they have resigned themselves to their fate, being meekly submissive to their rulers or being direct collaborators to them, in the process remaining as second class citizens known as Dhimmis under Islamic rule. The orthodox Islamic hardliners view Hindus as impotent, devoid of any courage to even protect their own religion, and view Hindu girls and Hindu properties as their own that need usurption, forcefully, under state patronage. Several people who had contributed significantly in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's life remained behind the shadows. Their contributions were silent and almost like worship. One of them was Ila, Subhas Chandra Bose's niece, daughter of Sejda Suresh Chandra Bose. Ila was devoted to Subhas and was also his nurse during illness. It was Ila's devoted service that helped Subhas Chandra Bose recover quickly from his illness since he returned to India in 1936 and was placed under arrest/detention. When a critically ill Subhas had to go to Tripuri Congress he had with him his Ma Janani Prabhavati Devi and Bibhavati Devi, brother cardiologist Dr. Sunil Bose, and Ila Bose, his devoted niece who looked after his every affair. Bagha Jatin's trusted lieutenant was Narendranath Bhattacharya, who he sent to Batavia for negotiations. Bagha Jatin's trust on Narendranath Bhattacharya was not liked by some of the revolutionaries of his group. But Jatin saw the fire in him and entrusted him with a huge responsibility, that of negotiating the supply of weapons for the planned revolution in Bengal in 1914. The shipment never came and Bagha Jatin, together with Chittapriya, died a hero's death fighting against a mighty army and police force with a help of few Mauser pistols - pistols that were picked up during the Rodda Arms Heist. It is to be noted that when the Rodda Arms Heist plan was proposed in a meeting of the revolutionaries, Naren Bhattacharya mocked the plan and dubbed it as impossible. A common and key question of the detractors. The answer is complex, but we can make an attempt to simplify it.   If Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose did indeed survive and live a secluded life, he did it on purpose for the sake of the country as his coming out would have jeopardized his plan, his sadhana.   According to Dr. R.C Majumdar, Moplah riot was a direct offshoot of the Khilafat movement that resulted in large scale massacre of mostly Hindus by the armed militant Muslims called Moplahs, Arab settlers from 9th Century A.D, in the Malabar province of South India (present day Kerala). Throughout 1921, preparations of a large scale riot were held through the large scale collection of weapons and gathering of a band of desperados. The local Muslims were further agitated by the violent speeches of the Ali brothers and the resolutions adopted in the Karachi Conference. On August 20, the district administration in Calicut attempted to arrest leaders possessing arms and that triggered a violent rebellion across the entire district. The rioters damaged roads, telegraph lines and railways. Few Europeans who were present were murdered with brutal ferocity and the administration was paralyzed. On 10th January 1961Daily Express of London published a picture of Anita Bose meeting Nehru under the title, "Daughter of India's Quisling meets Prime Minister of India."  Source: Freedom Portal The dreaded Bengal Volunteers was founded by Hemchandra Ghosh, who had started the journey of this organization as Dhaka Mukti Sangha. In April 1901, Hemchandra as a young man came in contact with Swami Vivekananda. When asked about religious discourse, the Swami flared up and said that an enslaved nation had no other religion than to destroy the very power that had enslaved it. He kindled the passion, the fire of fighting for freedom in a group of young men with Hemchandra as one of the key person. Hemchandra was also profoundly influenced by Ananda Math of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, which had outlined the struggle of a group of all renouncing monks against a diabolic and oppressive rule. Hemchandra established a secret society and named it as Dhaka Mukti Sangha. In 1905 he had come in contact with P Mitra, founder of Anushilon Samity.   The associates of Masterda in the meanwhile had gathered strength and on 5th May a group of six revolutionaries Rajat, Manoranjan, Deviprasad, Phanindra, Swadesh and Subodh went to attack the white dominated area of Chattogram. Police were alerted and they had to take shelter in Rajat's house. Then they escaped to Kalarpol village by crossing Karnaphuli river. The ignorant villagers thought them to be bandits and surrounded them. In the meanwhile police had arrived and a fierce gun battle followed after which three revolutionaries were caught and four escaped. But again their presence was betrayed while trying to take refuge in a Muslim house.   Masterda Surjya Sen was the leader of the Chattogram Uprising that for the first time in the history of India dislodged the British Government. For a long period of time, Chattogram revolutionaries under Surjya Sen, the favourite Master da of the students, was planning for a major uprising. The revolutionaries had taken advantage of the Non Cooperation Movement for regrouping. After Non Cooperation movement was halted by Gandhiji, the revolutionaries had  gathered under the umbrella of the Congress for gaining time and energy. The Congress Session of 1928 in Calcutta, which was coordinated by Subhas Chandra Bose as the GoC of the Bengal Volunteers, gave the revolutionaries an opportunity to come together and gather strength.
