Axis of Evil

The bugle has sounded. The axis of evil is on the march, its a matter of time before they do a coordinated strike. The axis includes Russia (aiming at Ukraine and thereafter Western Europe), China (aiming at Taiwan and thereafter South Asia and trying to score a point with US), Iran (taking on Israel and hoping for cooperation from Syria, Egypt and Turkey), Pakistan (you guessed it - India- Hindus), Turkey - Islamic Caliphate in the middle east. They are still having some internal troubles among themslves and that is the reason why they have not been able to launch a coordinated assualt, but soon self interests will prevail and initial successes will make them hungry for more. They have taken ISlamic fundamentalists with them as their foot soldiers to do the dirty work and the leftist cabals across the world as their intellectual capital for doing their bidding. They have handsomely paid the media of various countries and have instituted their best men in those media organizations as

Why Indian Criminal Justice System needs an overhaul along with the mindset of the judges

The criminal justice system of India is a rotten, outdated judicial system, a legacy of the British raj, subsequently reinforced by political and other biases of the judges themselves. Particularly repugnant is the attitude of the judicial system to the women and children victims of rape, molestation and other atrocities and their extreme reluctance to award death penalty even for the most abhorent crime, in the name of liberalism. They deny justice to the victims who are often maimed for life. A cace in point was the judgement delivered in the case of brutal rape of nurse Aruna where the victim was in a vegetative state for the rest of her life and the the perpetrator was awared only a seven year RI by the esteemed and honourable judge (If I do no use these adjectives I'll be dragged for contempt of court - that's the best the criminal justice system can do for good citizens who question its "dharma"). Unfortunately again, we as a coutry have forgotten our dharma, ou

Why I will not vote for Narendra Modi

In a previous post titled Why I will vote for Narendra Modi, I had argued that as a politician Narendra Modi has greater acceptability than other other politicians. Modi is evolving. Modi 1.0 was decisive, was active in dismantling a system of corruption and nepotism which had become the norm in the last 60 years. Modi 1.0 had also dismantled the regional satraps and their dynastic rule and blatant display of power. Modi 2.0 is a meek shadow. Starting by becoming a Gandhi bhakt and trying to build his saintly image, Modi 2.0 has shown that he is just a canny politician who is more concerned about his image and popularity above everything else. He is a builder of his own brand. Just as Mahatma was enamoured by his own title and tried very hard to protect it, even at the cost of National interest, Modi 2.0 has tried very best to protect his image of "Vishwas" with occasional doses of "Vikas". It started in a promising note, with teh article 370 imposition and the ena

Attack on the Hindus in Bangladesh and the lack of courage of the Hindus

The Hindu community in this subcontinent is either extremely apathetic towards its own religion or is extremely selfish to protect its members. For centuries now they have resigned themselves to their fate, being meekly submissive to their rulers or being direct collaborators to them, in the process remaining as second class citizens known as Dhimmis under Islamic rule. The orthodox Islamic hardliners view Hindus as impotent, devoid of any courage to even protect their own religion, and view Hindu girls and Hindu properties as their own that need usurption, forcefully, under state patronage. Of course not all Muslims share these views, but the hardliners are too powerful. A handful of them control the religion and the politics. Good Muslims remain quiet and submissive. On the other side, there is some truth in the assertion that Hindus as a community are divisive and cowards (much like the erstwhile Jews who were hated in Europe). Hindus, like Jews, have suffered multiple genocides be

The Scenarios are unfolding - Threat is looming large

One who sees can see it all, one who doesn't see can see none of it. World is no longer peaceful - its in metastable equilibrium and is heading rapidly towards a giant conflagration. The Bear is encircling the continent in its neighbourhood. It has its score to settle with Country U, it will start with that and proceed towards its erstwhile enemies that had their armies graveyard in the Bear's territory - for the fallacy of attacking it. The two economic giants will increasingly find themselves threatened by internal forces, that will be a harbinger of the external one. The island, that was once a mighty Empire where sun never set, has auto piloted itself in the path of destruction - its own Karma is drowning it in the Atlantic of sorrow. In the Middle East a Dangerous fanatic Jihadi Government nurtures the ambition of reviving the Caliphate. The fire breathing monster in our neighbourhood actually was testing water when it was on the border. It does want that territory but it

Ila Bose - Subhas Chandra Bose's niece who played a stellar role in his career

Several people who had contributed significantly in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's life remained behind the shadows. Their contributions were silent and almost like worship. One of them was Ila, Subhas Chandra Bose's niece, daughter of Sejda Suresh Chandra Bose. Ila was devoted to Subhas and was also his nurse during illness. It was Ila's devoted service that helped Subhas Chandra Bose recover quickly from his illness since he returned to India in 1936 and was placed under arrest/detention. When a critically ill Subhas had to go to Tripuri Congress he had with him his Ma Janani Prabhavati Devi and Bibhavati Devi, brother cardiologist Dr. Sunil Bose, and Ila Bose, his devoted niece who looked after his every affair. Subhas Chandra Bose had to stay for three weeks in Jamdoba to recover from the illness and Ila stayed with him during this entire period nursing him back to health. Ila's devotion led Subhas Chandra Bose to select her as one of his trusted aides during his dari

M.N Roy aka Narendranath Bhattacharya - Communist leader and traitor to the cause of Bagha Jatin

Bagha Jatin's trusted lieutenant was Narendranath Bhattacharya, who he sent to Batavia for negotiations. Bagha Jatin's trust on Narendranath Bhattacharya was not liked by some of the revolutionaries of his group. But Jatin saw the fire in him and entrusted him with a huge responsibility, that of negotiating the supply of weapons for the planned revolution in Bengal in 1914. The shipment never came and Bagha Jatin, together with Chittapriya, died a hero's death fighting against a mighty army and police force with a help of few Mauser pistols - pistols that were picked up during the Rodda Arms Heist. It is to be noted that when the Rodda Arms Heist plan was proposed in a meeting of the revolutionaries, Naren Bhattacharya mocked the plan and dubbed it as impossible. The impossible was made possible by the determination of Haridas Datta, Shrish Pal, Shrish Mitra and others. The great Narendranath Bhattacharya escaped to Russia, became a Communist leader and when he came back to

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose - a few questions regarding the Marriage Controversy Part 2

The part 1 of the post is given here The issue has also been discussed at length in https://www.netajisubhasbose.org/forum/general-discussions/subhas-chandra-bose-s-marriage-controversy-few-questions The below answer is response to a question raised by an esteemed member who had asked why should there not be a scientific investigation in this issue esp. as it concerns one of our greatest heroes. All claims must be subjected to rigorous scrutiny before accepting, in a scientific way, not through speculations and propaganda. Even if we set aside the claim of Gumnami Baba or Bhagwanji, there are three major factors that come up which make this issue controversial, without any prejudice. 1) Netaji never spoke about his marriage - such secrecy in personal matters is uncharacteristic of Netaji. His personal life was an open book. Only matters of national interest were kept in secret. He even claimed to Dr. Ba Maw, in a reply to his question, that he was not considering marriage unless India
