Why Indian politics is a got up game

At various levels, politics is driven not by morality but by compulsions of petty interests. Take for instance Bengal politics. The Left is finished while Congress is non existent. The battle is now between two main parties - BJP & Trinamool. One would wonder why BJP is not going all out after Didi despite having several key weapons like that of allegations of corruption, infighting with TMC and a fragile economy. BJP has no strong organization and has not built any. Its leaders are mediocre and some even are pure rubberstamps, like its so called Vice President who was till a few days back towing Trinamool line on the CAA. People will naturally wonder as to why BJP central leadership has kept showpieces. The answer is clear. Its a got up game. The BJP needs Trinamool as much as Trinamool needs BJP. Despite the rhetoric of Didi, it is clear that she is comfortable with BJP in opposition. She has a calculation. She knows that she has the urban Hindu votes. What she dreads is the rise of a Muslim party in the state which has over 30% Muslim population. She will have to carry out appeasement politics. If part of the rural Hindu votes, esp. in the under developed regions as a result go for BJP she does not have much problem, because she needs BJP to rise so that she can create the fear psychosis among the Muslims and get their votes in her bag. On the other hand BJP needs Didi to aggressively support the Muslims for the same reason. They will need rural Hindu votes, esp. in the underdeveloped areas like Bankura and North Bengal, to rise. For that they need to create a sense of misgiving among the rural Hindus, of deprivation. Therefore BJP and Trinamool will continue with their superficial battles while desperately wanting each other to stay in contention. Their common enemy is the possibility of the rise of a Muslim Jihadi fundamentalist party that would ditch Trinamool, consolidate the Muslim vote bank and would rejuvenate the leftists who would conveniently tow their line. In that case both Trinamool and BJP would be left to share the Hindu votes and would be greatly weakened - something that is nightmarish situation for both.
In Delhi Kejriwal has also realized this probability. Therefore AAP is trying to woo Hindus and Muslims alike. For it, BJP is a necessary evil, as for BJP Kejriwal is. That is reason BJP central leadership has deliberately weakened BJP state leadership and has not bothered much about the results. That Indian politics is got up game is evident from the fact that despite having many scams in their portfolio the top Congress leaders are roaming around confident that nothing will ever happen to them, that corrupt leaders in Maharastra can come together and form a Government and get immunity from prosecution, that big industrialists and crony capitalists are hand in glove with politicians of all hue, that money forms the key criteria of allocating seats in the elections across all parties and so on. One great person had said years earlier - Indian politics...ugh..it stinks. He also said that Indian democracy is mobocracy, demoncracy. It seems that his assessment is quite true and no political party is immune to the deadly and contagious diseases of corruption and greed.
